Many people laugh out loud at the mere mention of "Cat Training" Isn't that an oxymoron? Many an owner will tell you that their cat has trained THEM!
Cats are so different when it comes to training. A dog longs to please and follow command, while a cat will appear oblivious to the sound of your voice. However, if it's like mine, the sound of the can opener or treats container brings them running.
I was always under the impression that a cat could just not be trained. However this appears to be untrue. In a few short days, I had him following my basic commands as he had never before. I used to have to use his cat treats for motivation. That is no longer the case. It is possible to teach an "old cat new tricks"
